EarthCraftuk Community Interest Company

Scott and Clair have the understanding that all human beings are just caretakers of this very special planet.  Through EarthCraftuk in Kent, we hope to play some small part in helping to create a world where the gifts of nature are sustained and enjoyed for generations to come.

Bushcraft is a treasure trove of wisdom which reconnects us with the natural world.  It teaches us to have respect for our surroundings, the environment and to live in harmony with every living being which inhabits our planet. To learn skills and knowledge, passed down from our ancestors helping us to have an understanding of the passing seasons and our place in the great circle of life.

In today`s fast moving hi tech world, the value of regular interaction with the natural world has been totally overlooked.  The results in our younger generations are beginning to show and are potentially catastrophic.  ADHD, depression, obesity and general behaviour problems - all now showing a direct link to the lack of regular interraction with the natural world.  We decided we had to play some part in addressing the balance to reconnect people with the natural world and formed EarthCraftuk - a social enterprise in 2009 and having identified where we were in the grand scheme of things with our social aims and objectives; became a Community Interest Company in July 2010.  Any profits we eventually make, will be to further the project and offer aspiring nature loving young people, a bursary to further their education in the land based sector.

We run engaging long term Forest Schools in Kent - programmes for 13-17 year olds.  The programmes are fully accredited by the NOCN currently, with ASDAN and NCFE from September 2010, recognising the achievements of the young people on our programmes.

We also offer Bushcraft & rural craft workshops for small groups of participants.

We are truly, The Classroom without Walls.

Here with EarthCraftuk, we aim to give you a unique experience of truly connecting with nature - away from your mobile phones, televisions and the stresses of the busy commercial world.

Families will have time to bond together; individuals will have time to reflect, children and young people will learn the joys and wonders of the outdoor woodland environment and everyone will be enriched by their new skills and experiences in the natural world.

Unless indicated our courses are for pre-arranged groups of 10 participants.  Great for family fun events.  Larger school groups can be accommodated, subject to availability.

We look forward one day, to you being able to join us around the warmth of the camp fire - a place of

Peace, Tranquility and Friendship.
