EarthCraftuk Nature Skills SeriesIn response to demand, we have put together a series of overnight Nature Skills programmes based in our 300 acre ancient woodland site, just perfect for corporate bookings, youth groups, and school children (minimum of 6 participants). Great quality time in the natural world fostering team building, nurturing friendships and learning new skills.

The programmes have specific learning objectives and are assessed informally by EarthCraftuk instructors to ensure these learning outcomes are met by each participant.  However, if you have a specific area in mind which we have not covered, please talk to us and we will write a programme specifically for you. The programmes can be bolted together to enable specific subject areas to be further developed.

EarthCraftuk Nature Skills (Bushcraft) Level 1

This wonderful overnight woodland programme is packed full of knowledge and is an ideal introduction to the world of Bushcraft.  The experience gives an overview of the principle elements of Bushcraft:  Fire, Water, Shelter and Food.   10am Day 1 - 5pm Day 2

An EarthCraftuk Certificate of Achievement will be presented at the end of the programme.


EarthCraftuk Nature Skills (Food & Water) Level 1

This overnight programme has complete emphasis on food and water - crucial elements in the world of survival and bushcraft. Participants will learn how to source common edible woodland foods; game preparation; cooking by various methods of an open fire; source wild water and make safe to drink.  10am Day 1 to 5pm Day 2

An EarthCraftuk Certificate of Achievement will be presented at the end of the programme.

 

EarthCraftuk Nature Skills (Woodland Crafts) Level 1

This overnight programme has complete emphasis on woodland crafts.  By the end of this programme, participants will have a thorough understanding of the tools used; their maintenance and safety.  Participants will spend quality time making many woodland craft items to proudly take home! 10am Day 1 to 5pm Day 2

An EarthCraftuk Certificate of Achievement will be presented at the end of the programme.


EarthCraftuk Nature Skills (Shelter & Camp Fire) Level 1

 This overnight programme has complete emphasis on shelter building and camp fires.  Participants will learn the principles and techniques of safe camp fire location, lighting, management and safety.  Understand the principles and techniques of alternative methods of fire lighting without matches or lighters.  Erect a range of man made shelters and construct simple and safe weatherproof woodland shelters. 10am Day 1 to 5pm Day 2

An EarthCraftuk Certificate of Achievement will be presented at the end of the programme.

EarthCraftuk Nature Skills (Bushcraft) Level 2

This Level Two, 3 night, 4 day programme is far more comprehensive and  offers a wealth of knowledge and practical experience in the world of Bushcraft.  A portfolio will be offered for completion if returned within 6 weeks of the programme, the participant will achieve our EarthCraftuk Certificate of Excellence.  Although the portfolio is optional - it documents the programme and the participant`s achievements and once further work at home has been completed, becomes an invaluable reference guide.  10am day 1 to 5pm day 4
