"We simply have to stop taking the Earth for granted.  It is, after all, the only home we`ve got.  It`s already late in the day, and the need is more urgent than ever for all of us who live together on this planet, to work together seriously in order to repair the damage we`ve done, and to deepen our understanding of what went wrong and why."
Richard Branson

At EarthCraftuk, we are committed to providing a service to our customers in a manner which minimises our potential impact on our environment.  We will operate in compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and carry out environmental best practices in all we do.

We will...throughout our company:-
  • Promote our educational message of taking care of the natural environment.
  • Manage our bushcraft activities to encourage the sustainability of natural resources within any of our woods.  This is done by leaving certain resources in place when they are in short supply; actively encouraging people to economise on burning dead wood, so as to leave plenty of dead wood to encourage biodiversity; relocating the site of our camp periodically within the wood and use sustainable harvesting strategies for green wood.
  • We will use a compost toilet on our EarthCraftuk woodland site which allows waste to naturally degrade under the soil and no chemicals are used.
  • All produce used for catering where possible, is organic and sourced from local providers.
  • Reduce waste through re-use and recycling and by purchasing recycled, recyclable or re-furbished products and materials where these alternatives are available, economical and suitable.
  • Any non compostable rubbish on site, is sorted into categories and taken for appropriate recycling.
  • Strive to continually improve our environmental performance and minimise the social impact and damage of activities by frequently reviewing our environmental policy in light of our current and planned future activities.
